This little boy is the cartoon hero of the CEC. His name is XEMtoon which stands for XEM (Xəzər Enerji Mərkəzi) - the Azerbaijani translation of the Caspian Energy Centre and 'toon' - ending of the word 'cartoon'. XEMtoon is a funny, cute and smart boy with a typical Caucasian face who likes to play, smile and talk.

When visitors to the centre take their places in the CEC bus, the driver turns on the screens and the animated presentation starts. The presentation is a mix of animation and video footage. During this presentation, which lasts 10 minutes, XEMtoon entertains and informs the visitors about formation of oil, development of the Azerbaijan oil industry and the major oil and gas projects in Azerbaijan.

This presentation is generally targeted to audiences of schoolchildren but will be interesting for more mature audiences as well. The purpose of this presentation is to ensure that the CEC visitors start their CEC experience when the bus departs for the centre. The trip from Baku is about 50 minutes and visitors won't get bored during that time. The presentation will keep them interested and excited about their visit.
