About us

The Caspian Energy Centre (CEC)
is a world-class oil and gas exhibition - an amazing experience for visitors, which tells the story of the Caspian oil and gas industry, presented through the use of innovative, memorable and educational computer based media. The exhibition has been designed for many different visitor groups from companies and officials, schools and universities and the general public, especially local communities.

The centre is a tool designed primarily for use by secondary schools to help educate children in Azerbaijan about the natural resources of their country, and how they are used in everyday life. It is also tasked with informing communities of current oil and gas activities and their potential impact on the economic and social development of the country.

The CEC mission
is to explain the vision behind BP-operated Caspian oil and gas projects, outline the region's exciting energy future and show the positive impact hydrocarbon development is having on Azerbaijan.

The CEC reflects a commitment by BP and its co-venturers to work together to enhance local capacity and operated by BP on behalf of its co-venturers: AzBTC, BP Exploration Caspian Sea Ltd-the operator, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, ENI, Exxon Azerbaijan Ltd, a separate affiliate of Exxon Mobil Corporation, Hess, INPEX Corporation, Itochu Corporation, Lukoil, Nico, State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic, Statoil, Total, TPAO.
